Who We Are...
The San Diego Lucky Lion Dancers is the oldest and the largest traditional lion dance groups in the greater-San Diego area. We are comprised of volunteer elementary-, middle- and high-school students, college students, working professionals and parents dedicated to sharing a part of our cultural heritage with others in the community. Many of our performers have been around for well over 10 years or more.

Types of Functions We've Done...
Our group has performed at weddings, grand openings, special events, school cultural assemblies, cultural festivals, parades, libraries, block parties, house blessings, retirement communities, and yes, even Bar-Mitzvahs. We've also performed at the SuperBowl pre-game show, San Diego Padres pre-game entertainment, Disney's Disneyland California and California Adventure, and background engagements for film productions.

Where Your Donation Goes...
Your donation is made to the San Diego Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association (CCBA) of San Diego to support community non-profit, public benefit projects and activities. The CCBA is a 501(c)(3) charitable non-profit organization. For example, proceeds have been used in the to support the Senior Gardens residential apartments which provides affordable housing to seniors in the public-at-large, Ching Ming, and other collaborative activities.

What Else Does the Team Do?
While we like to work hard, we also like to have a lot of fun! We try to hang out together and do things as time permits -- some as sponsored-activities and others non-sponsored. Some past activities: Trip to Six Flags Magic Mountain, paint balling, but most the time, we just hang out by invading a restaurant for dinner as a large group.

Join Our Team...
We are always looking for young new members to join our group. As our older group members move on to bigger and better things, we need younger members to carry on the tradition. You must live in the San Diego area and if under the age of 18, must have your parent or guardian's permission to participate.
